Granola


This is a westerner eating introduced to us in the international environment of the green Warrior. The recipe is from Siria and Nicholas, a Swiss couple who traveled around the world with a bike and a kite.

Granola is an energy bomb, but it’s so good that we used it to reward ourselves after a hard day work. It’s a blank canvas you can use to unleash your imagination and create amazing breakfasts. For example, we made it ravishing with a mango jam or a marshmallow topping.

INGREDIENTS (8 serves):

¾ cup of honey

½ cup of coconut or seed oil

¼ cup of water

5 cups of oat

1 cup of shredded coconut

1 cup of sunflower seeds

½ cup of sesame seeds

½ cup of pumpkin seeds

½ cup of soy oat

DIRECTIONS:

Form an emulsion with honey, oil and water. Toss in all the oats and seeds of choice. Butter the baking pan or place some baking paper. Spread the mixture on the pan. Keep it in the oven at 175 C X 20-30 minutes, steering every 5-6 minutes. Once out of the oven you can add raisins or other dry fruits.

TIPS TO OTHER LONGITUDES: For the marshmallow topping, sprinkle quite a few of them 5 minutes before the cake is ready, so they can melt. In the dough you can had also chocolate of scents, such as vanilla, orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, ecc …
